Greetings Dear Sisters in Christ,

Are you beginning to slip into "summer mode?"  I know that filling in your summer calendar, does not need any help from another source; however, the needs of our church family do not diminish in the summer.  The challenge for all of us is to discern what God wants us to say yes to and what to say no to.   Below is a list of events and opportunities that we want you to know about. 

1.  Would you like to join other Trinity  women to attend the Beth Moore Conference, July 18 (evening) July 19  (morning)  Target Center.   There is no assigned seating so you must purchase your own tickets. They are $55 and are available at Northwestern Book Store or online www.lifeway.com   For those of you who are planning to go, let me know as soon as possible so we can coordinate carpooling or riding the light rail. 

2.  Trinity women's ministry has a block of premium tickets for the Women of Faith conference in October.  Cost is $65.  To reserve a ticket, a $25, non-refundable deposit, needs to be made by Aug. 1.   A sign up is available at the Information Tables in the church lobby.  Payment can be made in the church office.   Pre-conference tickets, $129, are also available which includes all day both Friday and Saturday but must be committed to by Aug. 1 when we send in our ticket confirmation payment.  Trinity Women's Ministry  has 2 scholarships available.  We will make tickets available to other churches starting Aug. 1

3.  Trinity Women's Retreat will be held at Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch in southeastern MN on Nov. 1-2.   There will be bus transportation to and from the Ranch. The planning committee is organizing fun and refreshment for the weekend.  Mark your calendar and be watching for more details.

4.  Tuesday morning women's Bible study is looking for someone to teach pre-schoolers starting in the fall from 9:30-11:30am while moms attend Bible study.    It is a paid position.  Contact Pam Reigstad (952.435.5057)

5.   Group of women needed to help plan & develop a one-day women's conference for a Saturday either the end of Jan. or the first week in March.  Concept and format have been established.  Topic and/or theme to be decided.  Want to use as an outreach event to women in the community around us.  Contact Patty Mueller

6.   Other serving opportunities at Trinity:

  • Children's Ministry is looking for volunteers to help with Vacation Bible School, July 28-31, 6:30 - 8pm.  Contact Rebecca      Cronk (952.469.2398) or Sarah Hornyak (952.469.8871)

  • Welcome to Trinity Lunches (for newcomers) is looking for individual or family volunteers who are willing to help on a consistent basis with this ministry.   Lunches take place approximately every 6 weeks.  Contact Chris Yohnke, Coordinator, (952.891.1064) for details.  For any of you who have been involved in the past or have volunteered to help in the future, please let Chris know.

  • Worship Center volunteers are needed.  I bet you didn't even realize that there are people behind the scenes doing jobs such       as this.  Every week either individuals or even families come in and make sure that pens, worship cards etc. are available to       you each week.  We have a couple of slots that need to be filled.  We are also in need of a coordinator.  Contact the church office if you are interested.   • Parish Nursing needs volunteers as this ministry continues to grow.   One of the areas in need right now is hospital and home visitation for those who are going through serious medical/health problems. Also need nurses to help with monthly blood pressure checks.  Contact Alice Sundeen, Parish Nurse  (952.469.4826)

Never neglect your personal, intimate time alone with God.  When we take time to hear his voice, God provides the horsepower we need to pull the heaviest load.   Draw near to him and listen to his leading.
